Terry began his racing career in 1978 racing dirt track karts. Terry still races them on occasion, racing primarily unlimited karts. He has acumulated several wins over his 30-plus years of racing. In 1986 and 1987, piloting a SS 3 wheeler, Terry won two track championships back to back, and in won a AATVA National event in 1988 on an open class 3 wheeler. Terry also raced 4-cylinder modifieds and mini sprints. Racing boats became an interest in 2006 when friends introduced him to the sport. He pit crewed for Gordon Downard in 2007 and has since been racing on his own. In 2010 Terry received the "Most Improved Driver Award" from the APR Superleague and finished the season in the Top 10 in points. Terry is married (Roxanne) and they have six children. His hobbies include racing, boating and fishing. |
