Gordon's racing career began in 1960, running an 8' Aqua Swan aluminum fishing boat with a 6 hp. Wizard outboard in a class called "Wash Tub Derby" set up for the kids. Since then, Gordon has raced 16 different classes spanning 51 years. Taking time off only to raise his family, (son: Jon, daughter: Sally) Gordon has amassed 7 APBA, OPC National Championships, 5 national and world speed records, 1978 MOD 50 World Championships 2nd place, 1978 OE World Championships 4th place, many regional, divisional and national hi-point awards and numerous other achievements including; Ohio Governor's Cup, Mid America Sprint Series Champion and the Bill Sherman Memorial Award. The most recent accomplishments include the 2008 Region 6 hi-point award, and the winner of the F-3 Class Pickwick Challenge, May 4, 2008, Pickwick, Tenn. Gordon resides in W.
